Get paid to read ads?? Really?
I have recenlty found myself with a lot of extra spare time, and if you read my first two posts you know why. So I have been sitting in front of this computer trying to find a way to occupy my time, so I decided to do a little consumer research. How can I pick up a little extra cash? So I embarked on a mission to find the best ways to do it, for free... and so emerges the pay per click websites.
The easiest one to join and use is Clixsense. They pay anywhere from $.02 cents and up per click. On top of that, they also pay you for your referral's clicks. Of course, it is free to join.
By far, the most reputable company is hitz4pay.com. They pay nearly the same, and also for your referrals up to 2 deep. They release payment each month via paypal. The downside... the ads to review are not plentiful. You may go a few days with out getting even just one ad to read.
Bux is a new pay per click site. They pay a penny for each click. Their site is easy to menouver, and always loaded with sites to surf. That is their strong advantage. They also pay you for your referral to a couple teirs deep.
wordlinx.com runs on the same concept. They pay $.01 for clicks into websites, and also for referrals. You can also get paid a commission for referrals who advertise or upgrade their memberships. However, thier website is a little more confusing. When you click the link to browse ads, they pop up not only paid ads but UNpaid ads as well. So you need to be aware of what you are clicking into. That being said, the number of paid ads is minimal.
Ok, now these next couple things I haven't had the chance to really dig into and figure out. The first of the two is a social site, some of you may be addicted to myspace or face book. This is the same type of place... blog, post pictures, meet friend... with a small twist. They pay you, via paypal, for each time someone clicks into your profile. So the more views to your profile, the higher percentage of profits you get. The banner below goes to thier intro video.
Alright, this last program is for photographers. The website is to purchase photos to use for things like advertising, brochures, hotel decorations, travel sites, etc. What they don't tell you right off the bat is that someone has to take these pictures, submit them, and get paid for them. That is where Joe Schmoe AKA you or me, comes in. You sign up for free. You then upload your photos (and a picture ID for tax purposes). Then, when someone buys one of your photos, you get a percentage of the profits. Keep in mind, these photos sell for $1 so you will not get rich quick, but the more photos you upload, the better your chances are!
So there you have it. A few ideas to bring in a little extra cash. Granted, you won't be the millionaire that is the envy of the block, but a extra $50 a month- between them all- could come in handy... even if it does only equate to a half tank of gas!

Hello? Is there anybody out there?
Ok, so it has become apperant that I am writing to only myself here. That is ok, sometimes it is better that way. Let's see what I can tell you about today. Today I had a job interview. At a high school. I do not have a teaching degree, but since I have been kicking around the idea of going back to school for a teaching degree, I figure a job at the school as a teaching assistant would be great. I get to the interview and am totally intimidated by they "panel" of people sittin in on my interview. Thats alright, I put on my brave face and started to listen as they explained the job to me.... " it pays like crap, and there are no benefits and you will not be able to move up..." . Huh. That is encouraging. So it has come to this. I am taking about a mile step backwards just so I dont have to go back into sales. Why? I keep asking myself that same question. Where are my priorities? Do I take the job that will give the schedule to work only while the kids are in school and have the summers off? Or do I get a real job that can actually help support the family... put the kids back in daycare...work weekends and holidays...what to do, what to do. This is the delima I face, and it sucks! I am going to have to figure something out.. because I need to get out of the house so I can get better material to complain about!

Cabin Fever
Ok, so this is my first blog. It is totally rediculous to say that I am pushing 30 (where I will be forever) and have never created a blog. Where have I been? I will tell you where- working. That is until my dear hubby took a job across the country. Now I have been thrust into the exciting world of the stay-at-home-mom scene. Let me tell you, its not easy. That is not to say that sitting around all day while the kids run around me in circles at 350 MPH is the hard part. No, it is the area of stale air around me that seems to stand still as boredom creeps into the base of my head 5 minutes after I get out of bed each morning. After 4 years of running a business, people calling me, actual adult contact, and lets not forget the money coming in... what do Ido all day? And so emerges the blog. Oh I have seen them, clicked on them, even read a few in my day, but I never thought I would have the time to sit down and write one. And lets not forget that I hate to read... so chances are I may never read my own writing. However- with the 10 hours of free time I face every day, and the thought that I could be cleaning the house lingering over the back of my mind, the computer has become my friend. I have surfed the web, posted ads, and even tried some of those pay per click surveys and such. They are all meaningless ways to consume my time as I try to forget the thoughts that create that stale air around me... I am lonely... I am bored... and I am useless sitting in front of this wide screen.
